Finally, a decent day after a few days of scary winds. The people here are funny..if the conditions are not 3.5 or less, they do not go out. They like craazy conditions, and their gear is designed for that. They are the opposite of Berkeley sailors. The girls kick ass big time. They do spocks/grubbies on both tacks. They do shove-its, are trying flakas, and shakas (hmmm). Lots of motivation for me...
Lots of people look HOT on the water and off the water. Everyone at the hatch does freestyle. it's awesome to sit an watch. You guys are definitely missed, and hope to see some of you soon:))

I have to check all that HEAT going on there. I am leaving tonight. Will be there tomorrow kicking some ass, at least out of the water. Inside the river, I guess I will have to learn how to survive those conditions first.

There's nothing like seeing people get *stoked* in mid-November, 6.5 condish's in freezing water with friends... ya know - Berkeley people. She's a bitch sometimes, but she is the epicenter of people being able to get amped, thrilled, stoked in sub-optimal circumstances.
I love her for that.
